01 — the model
Why productized
The traditional agency model prices uncertainty. A quote is a guess dressed up as a number, a retainer is a subscription to someone else’s calendar, and the discovery call exists mainly to find out how much budget you have. None of that makes the work better. It just makes the invoice harder to predict.
Convertique runs the opposite experiment. Every service is scoped once, priced once, and published. The price is the same whether you are a funded startup or a one-person shop, because the scope is the same. If a service cannot be described precisely enough to carry a fixed price, it does not go in the catalog.
02 — who does the work
A small bench of senior operators, each with years in their discipline: brand, paid media, content, SEO and data, strategy. There is no account layer between you and the person doing the work. Your kickoff email comes from the operator who will deliver the project, and your revision pass goes back to the same person.
Senior-only is a deliberate constraint, not a marketing line. The fixed-scope model only works when the person estimating the work has done it enough times to be right. Juniors learn elsewhere; the catalog is not a training ground.
03 — the method
Why everything is in writing
Writing is slower than a call for ten minutes and faster than a call forever after. The brief is written, so it can be checked. The schedule is written, so it can be trusted. The handover is written, so the next person who touches the project can pick it up without a meeting. It also removes the timezone from the equation: an answer written at 2am in London is the same answer at 9am anywhere else.
Calls are available whenever you want one. They are just never the mechanism the work depends on.
